How to repair door dings

Method 1: Use a Plunger

Plungers are in most cases used in unclogging drainages. They can also come handy in case you have a dent on your car. All you need to do is to sprinkle a little water on both the plunger and the dent. You can then push and pull the dent until the dent pops out. Ensure that you use a cup plunger which is usually used in sinks as opposed to flange plunger used in toilets. If you have some problems with your doors give Top Door replacement a call.

Method 2: Use Boiling Water

In the case of plastic bumpers, you can use hot water. Boil some water and pour it on the dent. The moment you have poured the water, reach out to the bumper and attempt popping it out into the initial shape. With the hot water, the plastic should be flexible, making this an easy process. If it does not pop out completely, keep boiling and pouring hot water.

Method 3: Use a Hair Dryer & Compressed Air

You can also iron dents out of a plastic material using a hairdryer and compressed air. Heat the car dent using the hairdryer at its maximum temperature. This will expand the plastic. Immediately it gets hot enough, turn upside down the can of the compressed air and spray the same area. The cold air will make the plastic contract, and the dent will pop out.

Method 4: Use Dry Ice

This can be used to address small dents. Wear protective gloves and rub the dry ice on the dent. Rub until you hear the dent pop out.

As long as you are wearing protective gloves, hold down a piece of dry ice on the dent and rub it around until you hear your dent pop back into place. You also have the option of heating the dent with a hairdryer before applying dry ice.

Method 5: Use a Vacuum Cleaner & Pot

By suctioning, you will be able to get the dent out. However, you will meet challenges in finding a dent puller with the right power. You can make your own using a bucket or pot together with the vacuum cleaner and tape. This will help you remove the dent on your car within no time. The suction pressure will let the dent pop out.

These five strategies can easily assist you in removing a dent on your car cheaply.
